A Study on Japanese Acceptance in Korean through Korean New Words Dictionary in Early 20th Century

In this study, same pattern synonyms in Japanese and Korea and acceptance of Japanese in Korean were analyzed using 2 characters words in new words dictionary in early 20th century. The ratios of same pattern words and synonyms of Korean with Japanese were very high with values of 96.54% and 97.32%, respectively. In order to understand acceptance of Japanese in Korean, it was analyzed that appearance and appearance year of the words in previous studies and Copus Japan, whether listed in Korean new words dictionary or not and appearance year in Japanese dictionary. Even the target words are Korean, high acceptance of Japanese new words is very conspicuous characteristics and this should relate with situation of the time.
