This study investigated lexical diversity in the writings of intermediate level(TOPIK 4) multi-cultural adolescent learners and foreign learners who prepare for the college entrance in Korea. The study employed 20 multi-cultural learners(MCL), 20 foreign learners(FL) and 20 Korean native speakers(NS) at the age from 18 to 24. The participants were asked to write three types of writings that were analyzed by D value using CLAN. The findings showed that 1) there was a significant difference among three groups in amount of types and tokens, showing that NS group was always first and MCL group and FL group follow, (2) D values among three groups showed significant differences, but it depended on writing types.
