초록
This study examines the effect of the syntactic and semantic properties of verbs and the animacy of nouns on the formation of the ‘NP1+被NP2+VP’ construction, the most representative form of the Chinese passive, through corresponding expressions in Korean. It was confirmed that the same syntactic structure of ‘NP1+被 NP2+VP’ can appear as different semantic structures depending on the characteristics of verbs and noun phrases. And these semantic structures can be divided into Prototype members and Peripheral members according to the perspective of ‘Prototype theory’. In addition, depending on the semantic structure, ‘被-Sentences’ can be divided into three types: ‘NP1(patient)+被 NP2(agent)+VP(action)’, ‘NP1(patient)+被NP2(cause)+ VP(action)’, and ‘NP1(Experiencer)+被NP2(cause)+VP(experience state)’. These three types can be used to design the ‘Cumulative grammar’ of passive sentence in Chinese education.
