학술 대회 토론문의 관계 접근적 분석 - (한)국어 교육 분야를 중심으로 -

학술대회 토론문은 토론하는 것을 전제로 쓴 글로, 학술대회 자료집에 실려 학문 공동체가 그 자체를 공유한다는 점에서 토론을 위한 초고와는 성격이 다르다. 학술대회의 토론자이자 토론문 필자는 자신을 토론문을 쓰는 사람, 토론하는 사람 등으로 인식하기도 하며, 발표자에 대하여 토론문을 읽는 사람, 토론문을 듣는 사람, 토론에 참여하는 사람 등으로 인식할 수 있다. 또한 학술대회 토론에서는 각 분야의 전문가들에 의하여 지식이 교류되기 때문에 견해가 불합치할 경우 이를 조정하는 과정이 관계적 측면에서 보다 첨예하게 드러날 것이고 이것이 토론문에도 반영되어 있으리라는 점을 예상해볼 수 있다. 이러한 점에서 토론문은 학습자들의 학습을 위한 쓰기 또는 말하기에서의 관계적 표현을 연구하는 데 좋은 바탕이 된다. 본 연구는 언어 사용에 민감하고 교육적 가치를 추구하는 ‘(한)국어 교육’ 영역으로 한정하여 국어교육학회 및 국제한국어교육학회 각 3차례의 학술대회 토론문 총 97편을 대상으로 삼아, Nvivo10을 활용한 혼합 연구 방법을 취하였다. 이를 통하여 본격적인 토론 내용 외 토론문을 구성하는 요소들이 무엇인지 관계적 측면에서 밝히고, 본격적인 토론 내용을 제시하는 방식은 어떠한지 어휘, 표현 층위, 그리고 형식 및 내용 요소 층위로 나누어 알아보았다. 이 결과는 토론 시 토론 내용을 갖추었음에도 토론 참여에 어려움을 느끼거나 상대방과 우호적 관계를 구축하는 가운데 활발하게 토론하기를 원하는 학생들이 활용할 수 있는 자원을 제공할 것이다.
Abstract
A discussion script at academic conference is a text which premise an oral discussion, and indicates what is shared by the academic community as a full and complete text published in a conference book. The formal discussion scripts has not yet become a subject of research, so not a few pre-scholars have difficulties to write down their scripts for discussion. A discussant/presenter identification and a sensitivity to interpersonal expressions can be anticipated as characteristics of discussion scripts, since knowledges or opinions are exchanged by professionals at academic conferences. Discussion scripts in this study are limited to the field of Korean language education: 97 published ones in 2013 by two representative associations. Texts are qualitatively analysed and quantified adopting mixed research method using Nvivo10. Findings are two in large: First, the components of discussion scripts which are not directly relevant to the contents of discussion, and roles they play from the interpersonal point of view. Second, the way contents of discussion provided in an interpersonally-appropriate way. These can be helpful for students who go through difficulties in delivering their thoughts and ideas in a discussion, and want to join active and passionate discussion maintaining affirmative relationships with others.
