본 연구는 한국청소년패널의 전국규모 종단자료를 이용하여 가정 내 사회적 자본의 변화 패턴을 살펴보고, 변화에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하였다. 가정 내 사회적 자본의 변화 패턴은 4년간 전반적적으로 증가하는 패턴을 보여주고 있었으며, 이는 선형적인 특징을 나타내었다. 또한 설정된 선형변화모형의 초기치와 변화율의 상관이 -.409(p<.001)로 나타나 초기년도의 사회적 자본의 크기가 높을수록 시간의 경과에 따른 사회적 자본 크기의 증가폭이 감소되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해서 시간의 경과에 따라 사회적 자본의 크기가 매년 증가하지만 초기치와 변화율의 부적인 상관관계로 인해 1차년도의 사회적 자본의 크기가 높았던 학생들은 이후로 갈수록 사회적 자본의 변화율의 증가 속도가 감소한다고 할 수 있으며, 초기 시점의 사회적 자본의 크기가 상대적으로 낮았던 학생들은 시간이 경과함에 따라 사회적 자본의 크기가 빠르게 증가하는 것으로 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 사회적 자본의 초기치와 변화율에 영향을 주는 변수로는 자아존중감, 자기기대, 부모학력, 교우관계, 교사관계에 등의 5가지 변수로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study analyzes the factors influencing social capital of the household and its change in Korea and use a sample from Korea Youth Panel Survey Panel 1-4 data. The results are reported as follows. First, the social capital of the household is gradually increased with linear transformations. Also, the interrelationship between intercept and slope of social capital is statically significant(-.409); it means that if the factor of the intercept of social capital is high, an increasing rate of slope will be reduced. Second, analysis of Latent Growth Models shows that self-esteem, self- expectation, parents’ educational level, peer relations and teacher-student relations found to be a statistically significant factor on the intercept and slope of social capital. These findings indicate that social capital of the household is a linear tendency and various factors such as self-esteem, self-expectation, parents’ educational level, peer relations and teacher-students relations are much more influential on social capital and its change. These results suggest how to improve the social capital of students who is under class in Korea society. This way is to apply the program improving self-esteem, peer relations and teacher-students relations.
