중등미술에 있어서 색채교육 방향에 대한 제언 - 영화매체의 활용을 중심으로 -

쏟아지는 대중매체와 정보화의 물결로 우리는 과거와는 비교할 수 없는 색채의 바다 속에서 생활하게 되면서 색채교육의 중요성이 높아져 가고 있다. 색채에 대한 정확한 이해와 활용은 학생들의 심미안 형성 뿐 아니라 자율적인 문화시민 교육에 있어서 필수적인 사항이다. 그러나 현행 중․고등학교의 색채교육은 양과 질 면에서 많은 문제점을 안고 있다. 전체 미술교육 중 색채교육이 갖는 비중이 매우 작을 뿐 아니라 그 내용도 색채가 갖는 물리적 특성에 입각한 기능교육에 그쳐 사회문화적 맥락의 색채교육에 제대로 접근하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 색채를 학생들이 경험하고 있는 문화적 맥락에서 이해시키기 위해 영화 매체를 통한 색채교육을 제안하였다. 영화는 학생들이 가장 친숙하게 접할 수 매체이며 세심하게 배치된 색채영상을 통해 색채의 사회문화적 맥락에 접근하는데 매우 적합한 수단이다. 본 논문에서는 색채가 예술적으로 의미 있게 사용된 작품들에 대한 해설을 통해 영화를 통한 색채교육의 가능성을 제시하고자 했다.
Abstract
As the mass media and information society progress, color has governed us in every aspect of our life and teaching color is getting more and more important. The correct understanding and use of color is essential for improving the students' aesthetic sense and educating them into civlized and independent citizen as well. However current color education in the secondary school has lots of problem in terms of quantity and quality as well. The percentage of the color education in art class is not only very low, but the most of the contents are just about theoretical and technical lesson based on the physical characteristics of the color and it is not approaching the sociocultural context which the color contains. So I suggest the color education through movie to make the students understand the color in the sociocultural context they experience. Movie is a media which students feel very familiar with and it is proper means by which we can approach to the sociocultural context of the color as the color is very sophisticatedly arranged with artistic significance in it. So I tried to propose some possibility of color education through movie by analysing the color presentation of some movies where the color has artistically important role.
