기능평가를 통한 장애학생의 행동지원에 관한 현장적용연구 분석

본 연구는 장애학생의 행동지원을 위해 기능평가를 이용한 실험연구 논문을 중심으로 문헌을 분석하였다. 1998년부터 2003년까지 최근 6년간 발표된 국내논문 6편, 국외논문 13편 총 19편의 논문을 중심으로 연구대상, 문제행동, 중재환경 및 실험설계, 기능평가 방법, 가설설정, 중재방법으로 나눈 분석틀에 의해 내용을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 기능평가의 효과와 성과에 대한 현장적용 가능성에 대한 논의를 하였다. 문헌연구내용을 요약하면 연구대상으로는 자폐 및 정서장애, 행동장애, 정신지체로 다양하며, 문제행동으로는 방해행동, 자해행동, 공격행동으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 기능평가를 위해 사용된 도구로는 한가지만이 아닌 관찰 및 면담을 함께 사용하였는데, 이후 좀더 발전된 기능평가와 이에 따른 적절한 중재 방법이 고안되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 교사들로 하여금 손쉽게 행해지기 쉬운 벌이나 격리와 같은 혐오적인 중재를 제거하고 장애학생의 문제행동을 좀 더 체계적이고 객관적으로 진단하도록 하기 위해 기능평가의 기능과 절차, 이를 통한 효과적인 중재에 대해 훈련하고 교육해야 할 필요성을 제안한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the research on functional assessment-based behavior support for students with disabilities. To achieve the purpose, 19 articles(6 Korean articles and 13 international ones) published from 1998 through 2003 were collected. The focus of the analysis was on problem behaviors, intervention settings or conducting plans, functional assessment methods, hypotheses, and intervention methods. In the discussion section, suggestions for improving the effectiveness and achievement of functional assessment within real setting were presented. The subjects involved students with autistic or emotional disturbances, behavior disorders, and mental retardation who showed problem behaviors such as disturbing, selfinjuring, and challenging behaviors. Functional assessments involved observations and interviews. To apply the functional assessment to school environments successfully, appropriate intervention methods should be developed in the future. Implications for practice included removal of aversion intervention like punishment or isolation, and the provision of systematic and objective diagnoses. The importance of training and educating teachers regarding the function and procedure of functional assessment was also discussed.
