2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 통합교과서에 대한 실험학교 교사의 의견 분석

본 연구는 현행 통합교과서에 대한 초등교사의 의견을 알아보았다. 교과서에 대한 교사의 관심을 분석하기 위해서 Ben-Peretz와 Tamir가 개발한 CCI를 기준으로 실험학교 초등 1,2 학년 교사를 중심으로 통합교과서에 대한 교사의 평가와 관심을 알아보았다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통합교과서 실험본에 대한 평가는 6점 척도 평가에서 평균 4.45를 보였으며, 학생 범주가 4.71로 가장 높은 점수를, 교재 배열 범주가 4.26으로 가장 낮은 점수를 보였다. 또한 주제 중심, 활동의 흥미로움, 교사의 자율성 등의 강점과 교과에 충실하지 않음, 교사 능력의 요구, 학습 내용 제시의 불명확성 등의 약점을 보이고 있었다. 둘째, 교사가 통합교과서를 보는 관점을 알아본 결과, 교사는 통합교과서에서 가장 중요시해야 할 것으로 교육과정의 충실한 반영을 꼽았으며, 그 뒤로 교과 내용과 학교 밖 삶의 적용, 창의성 개발을 중요하게 생각하였다. 새 통합교과서에 대한 교사의 평가와 통합교과서에 대한 교사의 관점을 연관 지어 분석해본 결과, 새 통합교과서의 쟁점으로 아동과 교과 사이의 우선시 문제, 교사 자율성에 따른 통합교과 운영의 차에 대한 문제, 학습목표의 규정화 문제가 떠올랐으며, 이러한 문제들은 통합교과의 특징과 성격, 선도해갈 교실 문화와 결부하여 생각하여야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the estimation and perspective of elementary teacher about elementary integrated subjects based on 2009 revised national curriculum. For this purpose, I used the CCI(Curriculum Character Inventary) which was made by Ben-Peretz and Tamir. Using the CCI, I investigated how teacher assess and recognize about the new integrated textbook. The results ar as follows. First, teacher's assessment was 4.45(6-point scale) for the overall average of the integrated textbook. The category are arranged from highest to lowest according to the assessment of teacher as follows: Student, Useability, Subject matter, Teacher, Instruction and Book layout. And teachers looked upon the thematic approach, excited activities and the autonomy of teachers as integrated textbook's strengths. But teacher regarded the inconsistency between curriculum and textbook, uncertainty of the learning content and request for competence of teachers as integrated textbook's weakness. Second, when teacher looked at the integrated textbook, it was the most important question in CCI that the integrated textbook are designed as an enrichment program or are required by the educational authorities. After this question, teacher considered seriously the following questions; Is the subject applicable and relevant to life outside school?, Are there opportunities to express feelings and attitudes?The key issues of new integrated textbook is priority issue of student and subject matter, autonomy of teacher and specification of learning outcome. These issues need to consider in relation for integrated subject and advanced competence of teacher.
