Abstract
The purpose of this study is 1) to identify the most important factors to consider when choosing a restaurant in a pandemic situation and 2) to analyze the differences in restaurant selection attributes according to customer behavioral intentions (satisfaction and revisit) in a pandemic situation. In this way, it is intended to provide basic data for decision-making to restaurant owners by understanding consumers' eating-out consumption psychology. About 250 questionnaires were answered online, and of which 247 used for the final empirical analysis, excluding cases which the responses were insincere. The survey period was carried out for about 4 weeks from June 1 to 30, 2021. The questionnaire used a convenient sampling method randomly selected by the respondents. The research results are as follows. First, It was found that 1) Employee hygiene and cleanliness must be good. 2) The restaurant as a whole must be sanitary and clean in the average ranking of restaurant selection attributes. Second, in a pandemic situation, restaurant selection attributes were found to be three factors: 'physical distance', 'service & quality', and 'sanitation & cleanness’. Third, there was a significant difference according to the satisfaction of ‘service and quality’ in the restaurant selection attributes. Therefore, hypothesis 1 was partially accepted. Fourth, In the restaurant selection attributes, ‘physical distance’ and ‘service and quality’ were found to have significant differences depending on the revisiting intention. Therefore, hypothesis 2 was partially accepted.
