초록
The purposes of this study were to understand the influence of hotel employees’s workaholism in deluxe hotel upon emotional exhaustion and psychological detachment from work, and to empirically analyze whether department and employment type plays a moderating workaholism between both relations of the emotional exhaustion and psychological detachment. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously by using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, χ2=230.509(p<0.001), df=91, CMIN/DF=2.533, GFI=0.898, NFI=0.948, CFI=0.968, RMSEA=0.077. The model's fit, as indicated by these indexes, was deemed satisfactory, thus it provided a good basic for testing the hypothesized paths. SEM resulted that the workaholism was found to have a significant positive effect on emotional exhaustion and a significant negative effect on psychological detachment from work. Also emotional exhaustion had a negative effect on psychological detachment from work. The moderating effects of department and employment type were found to exist partially. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.
