This study attempts to examine the environmental politics of the European Union with the analysis of the Environment Action Programme(EAPs) of the EU which contain principles, ideas, aims, action guidelines and various strategies of the EU's environmental politics. Especially the Fifth and the Sixth EAP among six programme are the main objects of this study because they emphasize taking action for environment protection while the others are considered as a political symbol for the need of environmental politics. EAPs are practical evidences which shows that environmental politics have been highly developed in EU. In conclusion it is desired that environmental politics should be developed in Korea.
