본 연구의 목적은 한국어와 스페인어에서 ‘개’를 포함하는 속담들을 살펴보고 이 특정 영역에서 두 언어 코드 간의 유사성과 이질성을 고찰하고자 하는 것이다. 고래로부터 인간과 동물은 공존해왔으므로 인간은 그들의 습성과 본성에 대한 지식을 축적해왔다. 그리하여 인간은 어떤 언어공동체라도 동물이 나타낸다고 가정하는 다수의 가치나 자질들을 신뢰하게 되었고, 이러한 모든 지식은 문화 코드의 일부를 구성하게 되었다. 이런 의미에서 본 연구는 스페인어와 한국어의 개 관련 속담들을 분석함으로써 문화 코드가 언어 코드에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 부각시키고자 한다. 인간의 개에 대한 평가가 언어공동체에 따라 상이하고, 속담은 이러한 인간의 사고방식을 반영하기 때문이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the proverbs referring to dogs in Spanish and Korean and tries to observe the similarities and the dissimilarities between the two linguistic codes in this particular domain. As humans and animals have been always existing together, humans have got knowledge of the habits and the nature of animals. Thus, humans in any linguistic communities believe a number of values, images and qualities that animals are assumed to have and the knowledge and the belief are the part which forms the particular cultural codes. In this sense, we attempt to emphasize the cultural codes have an great impact on the linguistic codes by analysing the proverbs about the dog in the Spanish and Korean language. Because people's points of view or evaluations of dogs are different each other according to the linguistic communities and the proverbs reflect their ways of thinking.
