유아 학습준비도 관련 변인 탐색 : 가족 외적 환경과 가족관계 요인을 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 가족의 외적환경(사회경제적 환경)과 가족관계 요인(양육행동)이 유아의 학습준비도에 미 치는 영향력을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구대상은 G시, K시에 위치한 유치원에 재원한 만 5세 유아와 부모 202명으로 부모의 양육행동과 학습준비도 검사지로 조사를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 프로그램을 통해 상관 및 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아의 학습준비도와 가족의 외 적 환경인 경제적 환경, 부 학력 그리고 모 학력은 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 학 습준비도와 가족관계 요인인 부모의 애정적, 반응적, 한계 설정하기, 합리적 지도하기와 같은 양육행동도 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아의 학습준비도에 대한 부모의 학력을 포함한 사회경제적 요인인 가족 외적 환경과 가족관계 요인의 설명력은 각각 34%와 29%인 것으로 나타났으며, 이들 요인 중 위계적 회귀분석 결과 1 모형으로 모 학력은 유아의 학습준비도에 대한 영향력이 58%로 나타났으며, 2 모형으로 모 학력과 양육행동의 학습준비도에 대한 영향력은 74% 그리고 3 모형으로 가족 외적환경 인 모 학력, 경제적 환경 그리고 가족 관계 요인인 양육행동은 전체 변량의 76%를 설명하는 것으로 나 타났다. 이러한 본 연구는 유아의 학습준비도에 영향을 미치는 환경적 변인을 이해할 기회를 제공함으로 서 효과적인 부모교육을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

Abstract

This study explored the relations among socio-economic status, educational level of parents,parenting behaviors and school readiness of the preschool-aged children. The participants were 202children and their parents, 11 teachers. Data were collected by questionnaire from the teachers and parents of 5-year-old children (N=202). Data were analyzed by correlation and hierarchical analysis using the SPSS program. The results were as follows. First, the levels of school readiness correlated positively with socio-economic status, educational level of parents, parenting behaviors. Second, in predicting children’s school readiness, analysis of the explanation of the socio-economic status, educational level of parents showed that socio-economic status, education level of father have a more powerful explanation than that of the education level of mother. And analysis of the explanation of the parenting behaviors showed that logical guidance have a more powerful explanation than that of the affection, acceptance, limit setting.
