Abstract
This article intends to compare the cases of denuclearization in South Africa, Ukraine, and Libya and examine the possibility and problems in resolving the North Korean nuclear issue. Because those who led to the denuclearization have not followed a single route, it is necessary to compare diverse cases in comparative perspectives and revisit the denuclearization model. This study seeks to study the meaning of the variables that were effective in one case but not in the other cases. In this sense, this study produces some hypotheses in the denuclearization route and tries to apply them to the North Korean nuclear program and discuss the process of the North Korean denuclearization.
