초등학교 일반교사가 인식하는 자폐성장애 학생의 이미지 분석

초록

자폐성장애 학생의 통합교육 성패는 자폐라는 특정 장애를 바라보는 교사의 관점과 태도에 의해 영향을 받는다. 이에 본 연구는 자폐성장애에 대한 초등학교 일반교사의 주관적 개념화를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 Q-방법론을 활용하여 자폐성장애 이미지 유형과 특성을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구 검토 및 초등학교 일반교사 26명 대상의 심층면접을 통해서 총 213개의 Q-모집단을 구성하였다. 연구자간 논의와 범주화 분석 과정을 통해 최종적으로 40개의 진술문으로 이루어진 Q-표본을 선정하였으며 P-표본인 55명의 초등학교 일반교사들에게 Q-표본 분포도를 작성하게 하였다. QUANL 프로그램으로 자료를 분석한 결과, ‘일탈적 행동형’, ‘교육적 부담형’, ‘사회적 고립형’, ‘교육적 개발 가능형’이라는 4가지의 자폐성장애 학생 이미지 유형이 도출되었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 자폐성장애 학생의 통합교육 지원의 측면에서 시사점을 논의하였다.

Abstract

The success of inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders was dependent on how teachers perceived disabilities and what attitude they took on disabilities. This study explored how elementary teachers perceived and described the characteristics of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders by using Q-methodology. 213 Q-population was obtained by reviewing published literature with having in depth interviews with 26 elementary teachers and survey questionnaires methodology. Then Q-sample consisted of 40 statements obtained after reaching agreement among researchers. 55 elementary teachers ranked the 40 statements in the Q-sample to capture similar viewpoints that identified images of Autism Spectrum Disorder. 4 themes were emerged by applying Quanl program: deviant disorder, educational burden, social isolation, developing educational potential. The implications of the study were discussed; how to promote and support for a successful inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
