초록

유아들의 사회·정서적인 문제에 대해 심리적 및 교육적인 서비스를 제공하는 것에 대한 중요성이 주목할만하게 증가되어 왔다. 이것은 사회적이며 경제적인 상태변화에서부터 새 연방법률이 명시하고 있는 서비스에 대한 충격에 이르기까지 그 범위를 증가시켰기 때문이다. 하지만 유아들에 대한 새 서비스 전달 기술에 대한 보급은 수요에 따르지 못해 왔었다. 본 연구의 초점은 유아들의 심리적이며 교육적인 서비스 전달에 중점을 둔 것이다. 이것은 사회·정서적인 문제에 대한 사정과 중재 등을 포함한다. 다양한 새롭고 유망한 발견과 도구, 그리고 기술들이 재고되어지고 있으며, 많은 사회·정서적인 문제를 가진 유아들의 중재에 대한 암시를 나타내고 있다.

Abstract

The importance of providing psychological and educational services to preschool-age children’s social and emotional problems has increased significantly. The reasons for this increased emphasis range from changing social and economic conditions to the impact of new federal legislation mandating services to young children and their families. However, the spread of new service delivery techniques for use with this population has not appeared to keep pace with the need. The focus of this study is on the psychological and educational service delivery with the early childhood/preschool population. This includes assessment and intervention of social and emotional problems. Various new and promising findings, materials, and techniques are reviewed. Implications for intervention of young children with significant social and emotional problems are presented.
