자폐범주성장애아동 어머니의 스트레스 요인과 해결방안에 대한 연구

본 연구는 질적 연구로 자폐범주성장애 아동을 가진 어머니들이 자녀를 양육하면서 경험하는 스트레스의 요인들을 규명하고, 스트레스가 되는 요인들을 그들이 어떻게 해결하는 지를 살펴보고, 그들이 바라는 방안은 무엇인지에 대하여 모색하여, 질 높은 중재를 개발하는 데 필 요한 자료를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구의 대상자들은 서울과 경기도에 소재한 공동육아 어린이집에 다니는 세 명의 자폐범주성장애 아동 어머니들이었다. 개방적 면접 방식으로 참가자들의 경험이 진술되었으며 그들이 스트레스 받는 주요 요인들로는 진단검사, 중재기관, 통합교육 프로그램, 취학, 자녀의 자폐적 특성이었다. 스트레스 요인의 해결을 위하여 부모의 공식적 및 비공식적 출처를 통한 정보수집, 중재기관 및 통합 프로그램 선택, 부모교육 프로그램 참가, 통합교육 교사와의 면담 및 장애에 대한 정보를 수집하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 상호 협력적 평가체제, 자폐범주성장애 전문가 육성, 통합교육지원, 전환모임, 다양한 부모교육 프로그램 등에 대한 제도적 전문적 지원이 제안되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide beneficial information in planning optional early intervention services by examining stress factors of mothers having children with autism spectrum disorders(ASD) in rearing the children. The mothers' efforts and suggestions were also investigated to cope with the stress factors and to improve quality of intervention services. Subjects who were three mothers of children with ASD attending childcare centers in Seoul and Kyunggido expressed their stress factors including diagnostic assessment, intervention and inclusive programs, school readiness, and their child's autistic characteristics. Collection of required information on and selection of their child's intervention and inclusive programs, participation in parental training, collaboration with inclusive program teachers, etc. were the mothers' efforts to solve the stress factors. Lastly, parental participation in the assessment process, education of professionals for ASD, transition meeting with related people for their child's education were their suggestions. These suggestions offered on the basis of the mothers' experiences in rearing their child seem very effective and practical in designing future early intervention services.
