본 연구는 장애대학생 수업 지원에 대한 교수자들의 인식과 요구를 조사하고 다양한 교수자 지원 방안을 탐색함으로써, 장애대학생 수업을 위한 효과적인 교수자 지원 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 교수자 인식을 조사하기 위해 62명의 교수자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 교수자 요구조사를 위해 설문조사와 면담을 실시하였다 또한 대학교육에 적용할 수 있는 교수자 지원 방안을 조사하기 위해 전문가 면담을 실시하였고, 장애학생지원 체제가 우수한 해외 대학을 방문하여 사례를 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 교수자들은 장애학생 수업의 조정적 지원에서 낮은 인식 수준을 보였으며, 학생의 장애 정보, 수업 및 평가 조정에 대해 다양한 방법으로 안내받기를 요구하고 있었다. 교수자 지원 방안에 대한 조사 결과, 정보 제공, 제도 마련, 상담, 교육, 웹 활용 등의 다양한 지원 방안이 제시되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 하여, 본 연구에서는 장애대학생 수업을 위한 효과적인 교수자 지원 방안으로서 절차적 지원, 정보지원, 상담 및 교육 지원, 보조서비스지원, 인식개선지원으로 구분하여 구체적으로 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify instructor perceptions, needs, and effective support system for instructor to teach college students with disabilities. A survey of sixty two university instructors was carried out to investigate their perceptions and needs of teaching college students with disabilities. In addition, interviews of four instructors and four experts in the higher education for disabled students were implemented. Furthermore, two outstanding universities in the United States were investigated to find out their policy and strategies for instructor support. The results of survey reveal that instructors have low perception of accommodations related to the test and evaluation and that they need to be provided disability information and accommodation guide. Finally, the results of the study suggest an instructor support system in terms of five dimensions, which are procedure, information, counseling and education, assistance, and disability awareness.
