초록

ADHD 아동의 한국판 K-ABC 수행특성을 알아보기 위해 ADHD 아동과 일반 아동의 K-ABC 수행을 비교 분석하였다. 연구대상자 중 ADHD 아동은 1998년 8월 1일부터 2005년 8월 30일까지 영남대학교 병원 신경정신과 외래를 방문하여 ADHD로 진단된 6세에서 12세까지의 학령기 아동 383명을 대상으로 하였다. 일반 아동은 2003년 4월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 대구소재 초등학교의 담임교사로부터 학교생활에서 정상으로 확인되고, K-PIC 및 ADDES-HV에서 특이사항이 발견되지 않은 152명의 아동이었다. ADHD 아동과 일반 아동의 K-ABC 수행은 문수백과 변창진(1997)이 제시하는 기술적 분석절차에 따라 분석되었으며, 그 결과 ADHD 아동의 인지처리과정척도(순차처리척도와 동시처리척도)와 습득도척도의 표준점수는 일반 아동의 수행에는 미치지는 못하였지만, 이론적인 표준점수의 분포에서는 평균범위 혹은 그 이상에 해당하였다. 그 다음으로 종합척도 간의 차이가 분석되었으며, 각 하위척도의 표준점수의 분포와 비교, 강약 분포가 비교되었다. 그런데 ADHD 아동의 전반적인 K-ABC 수행이 일반 아동에 비해 저조함에 따라 ADHD 아동과 일반 아동 간의 단순 비교로서는 그 특징을 찾기가 쉽지 않았으며, 오히려 ADHD 아동의 인지적 능력을 과대평가할 수도 있는 문제점이 있었다. 그래서 본 연구에 이어 정보처리유형에 따른 ADHD 아동의 K-ABC 수행특성 및 임상적 특성의 비교와 보다 구체적인 분석기법을 적용해야 할 필요성이 제기되었다.
