ADHD 아동의 한국판 K-ABC 수행특성 : Ⅱ. 정보처리 유형에 따른 분석

초록

순차처리-동시처리 모델에 입각하여 ADHD 아동의 한국판 K-ABC 수행을 분석하고, 이에 따른 ADHD 아동의 임상적 특성을 이해하면서, 이를 통해 이들의 치료와 교육 계획 수립에 필요한 정보를 얻고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 1998년 8월 1일부터 2005년 8월 30일까지 영남대학교 병원 신경정신과 외래를 방문하여 ADHD로 진단된 6세에서 12세까지의 학령기 아동 383명의 K-ABC, K-PIC, ADDES 행동증상 평가척도의 결과를 분석하였다. ADHD 아동은 K-ABC의 정보처리유형에 따라 순차처리 우세형, 비우세형, 동시처리 우세형으로 분류되었으며, 그 결과 순차처리 능력 우세형은 29명(7.6%), 동시처리 우세형 111명(29.0%), 비우세형 243명(63.4%)으로 분류하였다. 이들 집단 중 순차처리 우세형은 인지처리과정척도의 표준점수, 습득도척도의 표준점수가 두 집단에 비해 낮았으며, 하위검사 중 인물과 장소, 수수께끼, 문장이해의 수행이 다른 집단에 비해 저조하였다. 그리고 K-PIC의 자폐증 척도의 상승이 발견되었다. 동시처리 우세형은 전형적인 ADHD의 특성과 관련한 수행을 보인 것으로 생각되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통하여 K-ABC의 정보처리 유형에 따른 치료 및 교육 계획 수립의 근간이 될 수 있는 기본적인 정보를 얻을 수는 있었지만, 63%나 차지하는 비우세형에 대한 대안을 얻을 수 없었다는 점, 적절한 교육프로그램이나 치료프로그램의 효과가 검증되지 않았다는 점, 마지막으로 또 다른 분석방법을 통하여 새로운 접근이 필요하다는 제한점이 있었다.
