통합교육 실행을 위한 교사의 역할과 교사교육의 개선방안에 관한 고찰

초록

오늘날 특수교육의 동향중의 하나가 특별한 교육적 요구를 지닌 아동을 분리교육이 아닌 일반학교나 일반학급에서 비장애 아동들과 함께 교육받을 수 있도록 통합적 교육환경을 지원하는 것이다. 이러한 세계적인 추세에 맞추어 우리나라도 분리교육에서 통합교육으로 수행해 가고 있는 현 실정에서 통합교육에 대한 교사교육과 교사의 역할은 통합교육을 효과적으로 실현시키는 데 중요한 토대가 된다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 통합교육실행에 따른 문제점, 통합교육 실행을 위한 교사교육의 필요성과 내용을 살펴보고, 우리나라 통합교육의 효율적인 실현을 위한 교사의 역할과 교사교육의 개선방안을 고찰해 보고자 한다.

Abstract

In recent years, the idea that inclusion of students with disabilities in a regular classroom and program has been a major focus for the school curriculum and education system in many countries to provide equal opportunities to all children.However, there are many challenges in preparing general and special educators to have knowledge and skills for supporting children with disabilities for their learning.In accordance with this trend and the challenges, it is important to establish the framework for teacher education and their roles, which will be a critical foundation for bringing the inclusive education programs into practice in Korea.This study outlines the implications, potential problems and challenges associated with teacher education program as well as inclusive education. This article further addresses the possible strategies (and approaches) in developing and achieving the inclusive education through teacher education programs as a new direction in Korea.
