시지각 및 청지각 촉진 신체활동이 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 주의집중행동에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 진단을 받은 아동들을 대상으로 시지각 및 청지각 촉진 신체활동 프로그램을 구성하여 실시한 후 아동의 주의집중행동과 주의산만행동에 미치는 프로그램의 효과를 검증한 연구이다. 연구 대상은 3명의 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동이며, 연구방법은 독립변인인 시지각 및 청지각 촉진 신체활동과 종속변인인 주의집중력의 기능적인 관계를 알아보고자 ABAB 반전설계로 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시지각 및 청지각 촉진 신체활동을 실시한 결과 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 주의집중행동 발생률이 증가하였다. 둘째, 시지각 및 청지각 촉진 신체활동을 실시한 결과 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 주의산만행동 발생률이 감소하였다. 본 연구 결과를 종합할 때 시지각 및 청지각 촉진 신체활동 중재 프로그램은 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 주의집중행동 증가와 주의산만행동 감소에 긍정적인 영향을 주었음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구는 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 아동의 행동개선을 위해 신체활동을 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다.
Abstract
This study organizes some visual and auditory perception tests and carries out these programs to the children diagnosed as ADHD. Then the study explores the effect these programs have on the attention deficit behaviors and hyper-activity behaviors. The subjects of this study are 3 children. They attend adapted physical activity programs supported by community centers located in Kyung-gi province. This study employs an ABAB reversal design which aims to investigate the relations between independent variables - visual and auditory perception physical activities and dependent variables - functional relations of attention. Twenty-minute Korean language lessons are carried out in every session in order to observe attention behaviors. Data from Korean language lessons is recorded throughout all sessions, which observers review and then time-sample for 15 seconds(12-second observation/3-second recording). The study results are as follows. First, the number of attention behaviors of the children with ADHD is increased after carrying out visual and auditory perception physical activity programs. Second, the number of disruptive behaviors is decreased after carrying out visual and auditory perception physical activity programs. This data shows that visual and auditory perception physical activity programs are effective in increasing attention behaviors of the children with ADHD.
