ADHD 아동의 정서조절 특성 및 행동문제와의 관계 고찰

초록

본 연구는 ADHD 아동의 정서조절과 관련된 문헌 연구를 통해 ADHD 아동의 정서조절특성과 ADHD 아동의 하위유형간의 정서조절 차이, 그리고 정서조절과 행동문제와의 관련성에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 ADHD 아동의 정서적 반응과 정서조절 특성에 관한 연구관련 논문들을 검색하여 선별하고 재검색하는 과정을 통해 총 17편의 논문을 선정하였다. 분석문헌에 나타난 ADHD 아동의 정서조절의 특성을 살펴본 결과 ADHD 아동은 정서조절의 어려움으로 인해 정서적 반응 수준이 높고 주로 부정적 정서를 많이 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 ADHD 하위유형에 따른 정서조절 특성에서는 ADHD의 정서조절 문제는 부주의 보다 과잉-충동성과 공격성이 더 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 ADHD 아동의 정서조절 결함과 행동문제가 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이러한 결과는 ADHD 아동의 하위유형에 따른 정서조절 중재 방법이 다르게 실시되어야 한다는 것을 의미한다. 하지만 과잉-충동성이 ADHD 아동의 정서조절 문제를 모두 설명하지는 않으며 다른 관련변인들을 보다 더 면밀하게 탐색해봄으로써 ADHD 아동의 정서조절의 매커니즘에 대한 이해를 더 발전시킬 필요가 있을 것으로 본다. 본 연구는 ADHD 아동의 정서조절 특성과 변인을 다각적으로 다루지 못한 점에서 한계가 있으며 이와 관련한 문제들을 추후연구를 위한 제언으로 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to review traits and subtype differences of emotional regulation in children with attention and deficit hyperactivity disorder. For this purpose, this study was reviewed 17 articles international and domestic journals since 1990. As the result, Children with ADHD was found to have more emotional responses and specially more negative emotion than positive emotion. And children with ADHD display more symptom of hyperactivity-impulsivity was in difficulties with both the emotional regulation and high levels of emotionality. Aiso, there was the relation between emotional regulation and problem bevavior of Children with ADHD. This results show the relation between emotional regulation deficits and hyperactivity-impulsivity. However, this relationshjp didn’t fully explain mechanism of emotional regulation to the ADHD symptoms. From the aspect of the differences of emotional regulation between ADHD subtypes, invention strategies of emotional regulation should be implemented the different ways on ADHD subtypes. Finally, discussion and limitations of this study is addressed.
