초록

본 연구에서는 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애가 있는 아동, 청소년의 문제 행동을 예측하는 요인을 탐색해 봄으로써 인지 기능과 정서 조절 능력이 문제 행동의 심각도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 대학병원 정신건강의학과 외래를 방문한 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애로 진단받은 아동, 청소년 62명의 자료가 분석에 포함되었다. 주의력 및 실행 기능의 측정에는 컴퓨터화된 신경심리학적 검사 도구가 사용되었고, 아동, 청소년의 문제 행동 및 정서 조절 능력은 부모 보고로 측정되었다. 총 문제 행동을 예측하는 변인의 탐색을 위해 성별과 나이를 통제한 후 중다회귀분석이 실시되었다. 그 결과, 정서 조절 능력이 유일하게 아동, 청소년의 문제 행동 수준을 예측하는 변인으로 나타났으며, 주의력, 실행 기능 등의 인지 기능 요인은 유의미한 설명력을 보이지 않았다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애가 있는 아동, 청소년의 문제 행동에 대한 효과적인 개입 방안을 제안하고, 증상의 심각도를 예측할 수 있는 평가 도구에 대한 함의를 논의하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of attention, executive function and emotion regulation to the severity of behavioral problems of children with ADHD. psychological assessment data of 62 subjects diagnosed with ADHD were included in the analysis. Participants were administered computerized neuropsychological test containing tests of attention and executive function, while their parents completed Korean child behavior checklist (K-CBCL) and emotion regulation checklist (ERC). Standard multiple regression was used for the analysis, after age and sex were controlled. As a result of analysis, emotion regulation was the only significant variable that predicted high level of behavioral problems of children with ADHD. The implications for clinical diagnosis and interventions, limitations, and directions for future research were discussed.
