한국어 교육실습 강좌와 PCK 향상에 관한 유학생의 인식 조사-FGI를 활용한 사례 연구-

이 연구는 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한국어 교육실습이 어떻게 이루어지는지, 교사 전문성의 지표라 할 수 있는 PCK가 어떻게 향상되었는지, FGI를 통해 그 경험과 인식을 살펴본 일종의 사례 연구이다. 이 연구는 먼저 세 가지 연구 문제를 제시했고 본론에서 그 답을 구했다. 첫째, 외국인 유학생들은 한국어 교육실습 수강을 통해 PCK를 향상시킬 수 있는가? 교과 내용 지식, 교수 이론 지식, 상황 맥락 지식이 모두 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 외국인 유학생들은 PCK를 보다 향상시키기 위해 몇 가지 측면에서 의견을 제시했다. 교안 작성 연습이 더 많이 이루어져야 한다는 점, 한국어 교재를 모어로 만들 필요가 있다는 의견, 학습자 통제에 대한 교육도 이루어져야 한다는 점 등이 그것이다. 셋째, 비원어민 대상 교육실습 교과에 관한 담론을 본격적으로 시작해야 한다. 예컨대 교안을 한국어로 작성하는 것과 모어로 하는 것 가운데 어떠한 것이 보다 적합한지, 아직 부족한 교사의 한국어 능력으로 어떻게 수업을 진행해 나갈지, 한국어 학습자였기 때문에 강점으로 작용하는 교사로서의 간접 경험을 어떻게 활용할지 등에 대해 깊이 있게 논의해야 한다.
Abstract
How is PCK improving in Korean education training courses for international students? This study presented three research questions, which were answered through FGI. First, can international students improve their PCK while taking Korean education training? The answer is yes. We found that students' subject content, context, and pedagogical knowledge were all improved. Second, international students made some comments to further improve their PCK. They aimed to further practice teaching plans. Korean textbooks should be prepared for each language. Education on learner control should also be provided. Third, professors and researchers should study in earnest on “the establishment of educational practice courses for non-native speakers.” For example, is it correct to make and write the textbook in Korean? As the teacher's Korean language skills are still lacking, how will the class proceed? How will they use their strength of experience as Korean learners? This study has limitations as it is a case study. Relevant research that can be more closely designed and generalizable should continue to be published.
