Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the causal relationship among college students’ flow, aggression, and gambling addiction tendency. For this purpose, data were collected from 644 university students residing in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Busan using the tools for the state of flow, aggression, and gambling addiction. For the analysis, SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used, and statistical significance was verified at a significance level of .05. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that changes in college students’ autotelic experience, sense of control, and transformation of time had a significant effect on gambling addiction tendency. Second, college students’ aggression was found to have a significant effect on gambling addiction tendency. Third, it was found that the change of autotelic experience, sense of control, and transformation of time of college students had a significant effect on aggression. Fourth, it was found that changes in the autotelic experience, sense of control, and transformation of time of college students had a significant effect on gambling addiction tendency through aggression as a mediation.
