초록

본 연구는 대학생의 도박문제를 이해하기 위해 감각추구성향이 도박인지왜곡을 통해 도박문제에 미치는 영향과 도박접근성의 조절된 매개효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 구글독스에서 제공하는 설문시스템을 통해 구조화된 설문지를 개발하여 대학생을 대상으로 자기보고식 온라인 조사를 수행하였다. 총 481명을 대상으로 감각추구성향, 도박문제, 도박인지왜곡, 도박접근성을 측정하여 SPSS Process Macro를 이용하여 다중회귀분석, 매개효과, 조절된매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석결과, 대학생의 감각추구성향은 도박문제에 정적으로 영향을 미쳤으며, 이러한 상관관계를 도박인지왜곡이 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 감각추구성향이 도박인지왜곡을 매개로 도박문제에 미치는 영향이 도박접근성에 의해 조절됨을 확인하였다. 본연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 대학생의 도박문제 발생 원인에 대해 논의하였고, 도박문제의예방과 감소를 위한 실천적⋅정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of sensation seeking on gambling problems through gambling related distorted cognition among university students, and analyze the moderated mediation effects of access to gambling. To achieve this purpose, study sample(n=481) was recruited by using a convenient sampling method. Sensation seeking, gambling problems, gambling related distorted cognition, and access to gambling were measured, and PROCESS macro Model 4 and 14 were used to examine the mediation effects and moderated mediation effects, respectively. The main results were as follows. First, university students’ sensation seeking had a positive significant influence on gambling problems. Second, gambling related distorted cognition had a full mediation effect on the relationship between sensation seeking and gambling problems. Third, the impact of sensation seeking on gambling problems through gambling related distorted cognition was moderated by access to gambling, which means that the mediation effects were increased, when the level of access to gambling was higher. Based on these results, factors influencing gambling problem amongst university students are discussed, and practice and policy implications are suggested to prevent and intervene in gambling problems.
