통계적 방법에 의한 육사 입시전형요소 모의분석

Abstract

Korea Military Army (KMA) cadet selection criteria are the 1st level academic exam that is similar to the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT),the 2nd level aptitude test (AT: physical examination, fitness assessment, and personal interview), high school grade (HSG), and the CSAT. So far, cadets are finally selected by the total scores of CSAT (80%), HSG (10%), and AT (10%). The purpose of this study is to conduct the following two investigations:1) A mutual correlation analysis among the above-mentioned cadet selection criteria 2) A regression analysis with 11 simulation models to figure out the real contributed ratios of cadet selection criteria compared with the given nominal proportions The mutual correlation analysis showed that all of the cadet selection criteria play decent roles as the bases for recruitment. From the regression analysis, if we take the nominal ratios of CSAT (75%), HSG (10%), and AT (15%), then we can also deduce that the means of the real contributed ratios of the selection criteria are CSAT (70.6%), HSG (6.8%), and AT (22.6%). In consequence, we offered basic information on the selection of students who have the potential to become elite officers by setting an ideal admissiondetermining ratio for the aptitude aspect of applicants.
