초록

This present study was to investigate whether a pilot’s physical fitness and cardiopulmonary function has a direct relation with the pilot test. This study has been written after numerous studies have been conducted on the efficient selection process of pilot candidates attending the department of aeronautical science, hoping to select future caliber candidates with exceptional pilot aptitude abilities. In order to obtain variables related to pilot test, 12 variables were used and based on the students’ physical fitness and the cardiopulmonary function that may ultimately decide the pilot test excellence group and the non-excellence group. Through t-test analysis, it was discovered that 4 variables had an effect on the classification of the pilot test group. Logistic regression analysis showed that flexibility, maximum heart beat, and PEI had significant influence on the classification of the pilot test excellence group and the non-excellence group.
