부사관 충원 과정에서 양성 교육 교육생의 퇴교에 관한 분석을 통한 개선 방안 연구 : 2019년～2024년 육군부사관학교 퇴교생을 중심으로

본 연구는 육군부사관학교 양성교육 과정에서의 퇴교에 관한 연구로, 2019년에서 2024년까지 3,035명의 퇴교생 자료를 유형화하여 분석하였다. 결과, 퇴교율은 2019년 9.5%에서 점차 증가하여 2024년은 23.9%에 이르렀고, 입교 4주 이내에 약 2/3가 퇴교하였다. 퇴교 사유에서는 진로+적응이 36.0%로 가장 높았으며, COVID-19로 인해 중·고등학교 시절 비대면 교육을 받은 교육생이 높은 퇴교율을 보였다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 육군부사관학교 교육생의 퇴교율을 감소시키는 방안을 모색하는 기초자료로 삼고자 하였다.
Abstract
This study investigates attrition at the Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy by analyzing and categorizing data from 3,035 dropouts between 2019 and 2024. The results show that the attrition rate increased from 9.5% in 2019 to 23.9% in 2024, with approximately two-thirds of dropouts occurring within the first four weeks of admission. The most common reason for leaving was career and adaptation issues (36.0%). Additionally, trainee who experienced remote learning during middle and high school due to COVID-19 exhibited higher attrition rates. This study aims to provide foundational data for developing strategies to reduce attrition rates among trainees.
