본 연구는 Orff 음악교육 접근법을 Vygotsky의 이론에 비추어 보며, Orff 음악교육 접근법이 유아교육 현장에서 가지는 교육적 의미를 재조명해보고 적용의 가치를 탐색하는 기회를 가지는 데 목적이 있다. Orff 음악교육 접근법과 Vygotsky의 이론이 추구하는 기본 정신의 교차점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인간을 지식 구성의 주체로 보고 이를 중요한 근본이념으로 삼으며, 정신의 발달을 위해 다양한 매개체를 사용함을 알 수 있다. 둘째, ‘언어’라는 매개체를 사용하여 사고와 기능이 발달해간다. 셋째, 놀이를 통한 또래와의 협력을 중요시하였으며 공유된 활동으로의 학습을 강조하였다. 넷째, 다양한 문화적 맥락 안에서의 교육적 접근을 시도하였다. 다섯째, 학습을 이루어가기 위한 교사와 교육에 대한 중요성에 대해 언급하였다. 현 시대를 살아가는 교사인 우리는 유아와 교육, 음악과 학습, 환경과 발달 등을 어떻게 바라보고 접근해야 하는지에 대해 깊이 고민해보아야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to reflect the Orff music education approach in the light of Vygotsky’s theory, and to re-examine the educational implications of the Orff music education approach in early childhood education and to explore the value of its application. The intersection of the Orff music education approach and the fundamental spirit pursued by Vygotsky’s theory is as follows: First, we see humans as the main agents of knowledge construction and make them an important fundamental ideology, and we can see that they use various intermediates for the development of the mind. Second, thinking and functioning develop using the medium of ‘language’. Third, cooperation with peers through play was important and emphasized learning through shared activities. Fourth, educational approaches were attempted within various cultural contexts. Fifth, he mentioned the importance of teachers and education to achieve learning. As teachers living in the present era, we should think deeply about how to view and approach infants and education, music and learning, the environment and development.
