본 연구의 목적은 초심 가족상담사들이 상담 현장에서 직면하는 윤리적 딜레마를 탐구하고, 이러한 상황에서 사용하는 대처 방식을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 초심 가족상담사 10명을 대상으로 심층 면담을 실시하였으며 Giorgi의 현상학적 접근을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 76개의 의미단위, 39개의 중심의미, 17개의 하위주제, 3개의 주제가 도출되었다. 이 주제들은 ‘초심 가족상담사가 경험한 윤리적 딜레마 상황’, ‘윤리적 갈등 상황별 대처방식’ 그리고 ‘초심 가족상담사의 윤리강령 및 윤리교육에 관한 인식변화’로 범주화되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 초심 가족상담사들이 경험하는 윤리적 딜레마 및 대처방식을 논의하였다. 본 연구는 초심 가족상담사들이 경험하는 윤리적 딜레마의 본질을 이해함으로써 향후 가족상담사들의 윤리교육 프로그램 개발에 중요한 기초자료를 제공할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the ethical dilemmas encountered by novice family counselors in counseling practice and to examine the coping strategies they use. To achieve this, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 novice family counselors, and the data were analyzed using Giorgi’s phenomenological approach. As a result of the analysis, 76 meaning units, 39 central meanings, 17 sub-themes, and 3 main themes were derived. These themes were categorized as ‘ethical dilemma situations experienced by novice family counselors,’ ‘coping strategies for ethical conflicts,’ and ‘changes in perception of ethical codes and education among novice family counselors’. Based on these findings, the ethical dilemmas and coping strategies experienced by novice family counselors were discussed. This study is expected to provide important basic data for the development of ethical education programs for family counselors in the future by understanding the nature of ethical dilemmas experienced by novice family counselors.
