본 연구의 목적은 Shakespeare-Finch와 Obst(2011)가 개발한 양방향 사회적 지지 척도(2-Way SSS)를 한국어로 번안 및 타당화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 19세 이상의 성인 750명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 진행하였으며, 이상치를 응답한 5명을 제외한 총 745명의 자료를 연구에 활용하였다. 탐색적 요인분석(EFA) 결과, 원척도의 4요인 구조와는 다른 2요인 구조(사회적 지지 수혜 및 제공)가 도출되었으며, 확인적 요인분석(CFA)을 통해 최종 2요인 19문항의 모형을 확인하였다. 개념타당도, 준거타당도, 증분타당도 검증 결과는 모두 양호하였으며, 신뢰도 분석에서도 문항-총점 간 상관 및 내적 일치도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 청년, 중년, 노년으로 구분된 연령 집단 간의 측정불변성을 검증한 결과, 성인 연령 집단에 관계없이 척도가 일관되게 적용될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과 한국판 2-Way SSS는 신뢰도와 타당도가 양호한 것으로 확인되어 사회적 지지의 양방향성을 측정하는 도구로 활용될 수 있음이 시사되었다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 그리고 추후 연구에 대한 제언이 논의되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to validate a Korean version of the 2-Way Social Support Scale (2-Way SSS) developed by Shakespeare-Finch and Obst (2011). 750 adults aged over 19 participated in an online survey, and data from 745 respondents were analyzed after excluding 5 responses identified as outliers. An exploratory factor analysis(EFA) revealed a 2-factor structure(Receiving and Giving) that differed from the original 4-factor model, and a confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) confirmed the final 2 factor model with 19 items. The scale demonstrated adequate construct validity, criterion-related validity, and incremental validity. Reliability analysis also indicated high internal consistency and significant item-total correlations. In addition, the results of measurement invariance across three age groups(young, middle-aged, and older adults) confirmed the scale's consistent applicability regardless of age group. The current findings indicate that the Korean version of the 2-Way SSS is a reliable and valid tool for assessing bidirectionality of social support. Finally, implications and limitations of this study, and suggestions for future research were discussed.
