하이데거 후기철학에서 존재 자체의 ‘비움’성격과 그것을 통한 동양사상과의 대화 가능성에 대한 연구: 선불교 교토학파의 공 이해와 관련하여

초록

본 논문의 목표는 일차적으로 후기 하이데거의 사유 중 존재 자체의 ‘비움(Leeren, Leerheit)’ 성격을 고찰하는 것이며, 이차적으로는 그 결과를 동양사상, 특별히 교토학파의 공사상과 비교함으로써 현대의 문제들을 극복하기 위한 단초로서, 비움의 의미를 새롭게 제안해 보는 것이다. 2장에서는 하이데거 사유의 정수라 할 수 있는 존재생기 논의를 통해 존재 자체 안에 비움의 성격이 주도적으로 나타나고 있음을 밝힌다. 3장은 후기 하이데거의 사유가 동양사상과 대화할 수 있는 가능성을 모색하고, 특별히 불교 공사상의 기원과 더불어 교토학파의 공사상을 니시타니의 ‘절대무로서의 공’과 아베의 ‘궁극적 실재로서의 공’에 대한 논의 안에서 제시한다. 4장에서는 하이데거 사유 안의 비움과 교토학파 공사상 사이의 가까움의 지점을 밝히게 되며, 이것은 곧 공이 존재와 무의 역설적 공존, 존재의 근원적 모습, 그리고 인간의 비움을 가능하게 하는 근거라는 사실로 드러난다. 5장은 글을 요약하면서 비움의 실천적 의미를 제안한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is, first of all, to explain the character of the emptiness (Leeren, Leerheit) of the Being-itself of the late Heidegger, and secondly to compare the results with those of the Kyoto School in particular. Finally, this study try to propose a new meaning of emptiness that can be accepted for overcoming of the problems in modern times In chapter Ⅱ, through the discussion of ‘Enowning (Ereignis)’ as the so-called center of Heidegger’s thought, it is revealed that the character of emptiness appears dominantly in Being itself. Chapter Ⅲ explores the possibility that later Heidegger can be in the dialogue with Eastern-Asian thoughts, specially explains the origins of Buddhist and the Suyata-discussion of the Kyoto School through ‘Sunyata as the absolute nothingness (Nishitani)’ and ‘Sunyata as the ultimate reality (Abe).’ In chapter Ⅳ, the realm of closeness between ‘the emptiness of Heidegger’s thought and the Sunyata of the Kyoto School is dealt, furthermore, this means the fact that the emptiness reveals the paradoxical belongness (Zusammengeörigkeit) of Being and Nothingness, the ultimate event of Being itself, and the ground for human-emptying. Chapter Ⅴ summarizes the article and suggests practical meaning of emptiness-character in Being itself.
