본 논문은 하이데거의 슐라이어마허에 대한 해석을 통해 그의 독자적인 철학적 형성과정에서 슐라이어마허가 끼친 영향을 살피는데 목적이 있다. 그동안 하이데거와 슐라이어마허의 관계에 대한 논의는 사적인 보고 또는 전기에서 언급되거나 철학적 해석학의 성립 배경에서만 다루어졌다. 그러나 전집 60권『종교적 삶의 현상학』에 수록된 미발표 강의자료 “중세신비주의의 철학적 토대”에는 하이데거의 철학적 계기와 밀접하게 연관된 슐라이어마허의『종교론』과『기독교 신앙』에 대한 독자적인 해석이 전개되고 있다. 이에 대한 첫 번째 연구는 아리스토텔레스의 전통과 연관된 이성적이고 자연주의적인 스콜라철학과 대결하며 개별적 체험을 강조하는 중세 신비주의의 특징과 연결하여 슐라이어마허의 신비주의적 통찰, 즉 “형상적 유착의 문제”와 이와 연관된 “보편적인 체험구조”에 대한 해석을 다루었다. 두 번째 연구는 주-객 이분성 이전의 직관과 감정을 강조하는 슐라이어마허의 의식이론을 현상학적 관점에서 해석함으로써 개별적 체험의 직접성과 역사성의 계기를 이끌어내는 해석에 대해 주목하였다. 마지막 연구에서는 자기존재의 이행과정과 깨어있음의 본래성을 강조하는 하이데거의 현사실성의 해석학을 슐라이어마허의 해석학적 주체와 연관된 “자기-자신을-가짐”과 경건의 이론에서 해석하였다. 이러한 하이데거의 슐라이어마허의 해석은 그의 종교현상학에서 기초존재론으로의 발전과정에서 드러나는 주요한 철학적 계기들을 제시하고 있다.
Abstract
This study seeks to examine Heidegger‘s interpretation of Schleiermacher and then considers the influence of Schleiermacher in the process of Heidegger‘s philosophical formation. Until now, discussions on the relationship between Heidegger and Schleiermacher have been addressed only in private reports and biographies or in the background of the establishment of philosophical hermeneutics. However, Heidegger‘s interpretation of Schleiermacher‘s “On Religion” and “The Christian Faith” in the unpublished lecture material “The Philosophical Foundation of Medieval Mysticism” is related closely to Heidegger‘s philosophical motives. The first study in the material dealt with Schleiermacher‘s mystical insight into the problem of eidetic adhesion and the universal experience structure. Heidegger links it to medieval mysticism, which emphasizes individual experiences confronting Aristotle‘s philosophy of rationalism and naturalism. The second study focused on the phenomenological interpretation that leads to the directness and historicity of individual experiences by interpreting Schleiermacher‘s theory of consciousness in intuition and emotions before the subject–object dichotomy. In the last study, Heidegger‘s hermeneutic of facticity, which emphasizes the performance of self-being and the authenticity of Dasein, was interpreted in Schleiermacher’s theory of one-self-have and piety related to the hermeneutic subject. Heidegger’s interpretation of Schleiermacher presents the major philosophical motives revealed in the development of his religious phenomenology into fundamental ontology.
