Abstract

In September 2019, the Ministry of Education released the latest primary school Chinese textbooks. At the same time, all grades of primary schools(1st to 6th) used the Ministry-edited primary school Chinese textbooks.This study takes the fairy tales in the nationally-used ministry-edited primary school Chinese textbooks as the research object, and makes a comprehensive analysis from the current situation, themes, characteristics, and existing problems of the selected texts, and at the same time proposes teaching strategies to improve the effectiveness of fairy tale teaching.Through analysis, it is found that the fairy tales in the primary school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry have obvious meaning and strong utilitarianism; there are faults in the selection, most of which are concentrated in the district school, the number of middle school sections is reduced, and there is only one fairy tale selection in the high school section. The proportion of fairy tales between China and foreign countries is very different; the theme is relatively simple, and so on. In order to improve the effect of fairy tale teaching, firstly, one should improve the teachers' fairy tale literacy, and secondly, strengthen the fairy tale teaching strategy that takes children as the center and stimulates children's initiative.
