Abstract
North Korea tried to overcome their crisis by mililitarizing their society. It was the traditional method that they stress the threat of outer world and amplify the fury and hatred to outer world to unite their people. North Korean poems played the role as an ideological state apparatus by attributing their disaster and torture to outer word, and appealing to nationalistic emotion of their people. North Korean poets turn their faces away from the people's sufferings, but considered the hardships as a moment to glorify the people's virtue and loyalty to their system. They attributed their hardships to American Imperialists and expressed the fury and hatred to them and the will of resistance to their threat by death. ‘Revolutionary spirit of soldiers’ becomes the motto of North Korea. It means willing sacrifice and devotion to their political system and ‘the great general’ Kim Jugil. As it were, they demand martyrdom and moral purification to their people. But I think that North Korean poems confronted with the radical limits to glorify their political system and leader. Their their imaginations are drying up and their words were crude, vulgar and rude. They at best depict their leader with an obscure and uncertain images and crude legend. Eventually they failed to grasp their people's mind. The differences between realty and imagination increased and imagination lost its power to rule out North Korean peopl's spirit.
