생태예술(Eco-Arts) 사례 탐구를 통한 무용의 지속가능발전 방향 모색

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore examples of eco-arts practice in the world of culture and arts and to discuss the direction for the sustainable development of dance. Method: To this end, data was collected on mobile news provided on the Naver portal site covered from January 1, 2021 to April 30, 2024. Result: The specific practices of the cases in which eco-arts were practiced are summarized as follows. First, it plans the event with the main purpose of eco-friendliness. Second, it presents the zero-waste movement. Third, it seeks to use eco-friendly materials and energy. Fourth, it carries out various environment-related programs. These eco-arts attempts have moved away from the negative view of the festivals and performances of consumption hedonism, and have played a role to have a positive effect on society. Art has the power to move the masses, and the experience of changing the citizens’ consciousness through art will soon change the society. It can be said that the eco-arts cases examined in this paper once again played the role as a reminder of the social influence and ripple effect of art, that is, the social value of art. Conclusion: From an eco-arts point of view, dance should inform mankind of the importance of preserving the ecosystem and remind them of the consciousness of crisis in the ecosystem facing humanity to promote positive social change for sustainable life.
