연구목적: 본 연구는 지속가능발전 개념 도입을 시도한 무용축제 사례를 토대로 지속가능발전 개념 도입의 성과와 영향에 대해 탐색하고, 예술의 미래 방향성에 대해 논하고자 함이 목적이다. 연구방법: 이를 위한 연구방법으로는 2023 제37회 한국무용제전‘Stage Ecology’ 사례를 중심으로 전문가집단 7인을 선정하여 표적집단면접(FGI)을실시하였다. 연구결과: 제37회 한국무용제전 ‘Stage Ecology’의 성과로는 첫째, 무용공연현장에서 실질적인 친환경 운동을 실천하여 모범적 선례가 되었다. 둘째, 시대성을 함의한 주제선정과 진취적인 도전정신이 높이 평가되었다. 셋째, 무용인들의 의식을 선도하여 예술의 녹색성장을 유도하는데 공헌하였다. 본 사례 탐구를 통한 예술의미래방향 예측으로는 첫째, 시대 변화에 민감하게 반응하며 적극적인 도전정신과 독창적, 윤리적 사고가 바탕이 되어야 한다. 둘째, 순수예술로서의 발전과 동시대성, 상징성을 통해 사회적 책임을 준수하고 인간중심의 예술로 발전해야한다. 셋째, 예술 교육의 중요성이 강조되며 예술교육에 대한 지속적인 논의와 모색이 필요하다. 결론: 예술이 보다 장기적인 가치를 창출할 수 있는 분야로 자리를 확보하기 위해서는 더욱 복합적이고 다각적인 고려가 지속적으로 필요하다. 인간사회의 지속가능발전을 위해 예술이 사회적 역량을 다하며 인간에게 큰 보탬이 될 수 있기를 바란다.
Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to explore about the effect of sustainable development concepts’ introduction, and discuss the future orientation of the art on the basis of dance-festival case. Methods: For those purposes, I chose the case of “State Ecology’ performance in the 37th Korea Dance Festival held by 2023, and conducted Focus Group Interview(FGI) to seven experts. Results: The main outcomes of “Stage Ecology” were as follows. First, it became an exemplary precedent by practicing actual eco-friendly movements at the at the site of performance place. Second, the subject selection, which reflected about the characteristics of this era, the challenging minds were very appreciable. Thirdly, it promoted consciousness of professional dancers leading to the green growth of art. And on the basis of this case-study, the following implications are drawn as follows for the future development of art. First, it should be more based on creative and ethical thinking, along with challenging mind with more sensitivity to the change of time. Secondly, it should become more human-centered taking more social responsibility through development as pure art and expression of contemporary-characteristic and symbolism. Thirdly, more art education would be needed with more thoughts and considerations. Conclusions: More elaborate and multifaceted thinking are continuously needed, to ensure that the art can be acknowledged as the area with long-term values. And I hope that it would take full social-responsibility to make more contribution to human society and its sustainable development.
