연구목적: 본 연구는 챗GPT가 출시된 시점인 2022년부터 현재까지 국내에서 공연되었던 챗GPT를 활용한 무용작품 모든 사례를 통해 동향을 파악하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 선정된 4개의 작품을 다중사례 연구방법을 사용하여 작품 주제와 기획 의도, 활용기술 개요와 설명을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과: 본 연구결과인 무용 분야의 챗GPT 기술활용 동향은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 총 4개의 사례는 한국무용, 현대무용, 발레 장르로 무용 장르의 전반에서 작품이 제작되었다. 둘째, 국·공립단체뿐만 아니라 개인 안무가도 챗GPT를 안무적 도구로서 사용하였다. 셋째, 챗GPT를 안무가마다 자신의 작품에서 다양한 방법으로 활용하였다. 넷째, 무용창작과 제작에 챗GPT를 포함하여 글, 음악, 목소리, 이미지 및 영상을 생성하는 AI를 융합하여 활용하였다. 다섯째, 한 작품 안에서 대화형 AI 또는 음악 생성 AI 2종류를 동시에 사용하였다. 결론: 챗GPT를 활용한 무용작품 사례분석을 통해 AI 기술이 무용 분야의 안무적 도구로서의 시작을 알리며 새로운 무용창작과 제작의 가능성을 열고 있음을 확인하였다.
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify trends through all cases of dance pieces utilizing ChatGPT performed in Korea from 2022, when ChatGPT was launched, to the present. Methods: The four selected pieces were analyzed using a multiple case study method through the theme and planning intention of the piece, and an overview and explanation of the technology used. Result: The trends of ChatGPT technology utilization in the dance field as a result of this study are as follows. First, a total of four cases were produced in the genres of Korean traditional dance, modern dance, and ballet, and pieces were produced across the dance genre. Second, ChatGPT was used as a choreographic tool not only by national and public organizations but also by individual choreographers. Third, ChatGPT was used in various ways by each choreographer in their pieces. Fourth, ChatGPT was integrated and utilized in dance creation and production by integrating AI that generates text, music, voices, images, and videos. Fifth, two types of conversational AI or music generation AI were used simultaneously in one piece. Conclusion: Through case studies of dance pieces utilizing ChatGPT, we confirmed that AI technology is beginning to serve as a choreographic tool in the dance field and is opening up new possibilities for dance creation and production.
