Abstract

In this study, I examined the certification system for innovative companies, which is one of the nurturing systems for innovative companies in Korea. The Innobiz and Mainbiz certification systems, which are certification systems for innovative companies in Korea, have greatly contributed to enhancing the innovation capabilities of companies, such as technology development. Many countries are interested in introducing the certification system for innovative companies of Korea. However, in a state of different socio-economic, political and cultural conditions, it is not possible to transplant the system of Korea to a foreign country as it is. Accordingly, several points to keep in mind when applying the Korean system to foreign countries were mentioned. First, the level of economic development and industrial structure of the country should be considered. Second, the will of the national government must be taken into account. Third, the stage of technological development should be considered. Fourth, the resources held by the company must be considered. Fifth, the availability of the budget should be considered. Sixth, political corruption and moral hazard must be taken into account. What is unfortunate is that there is a lack of concrete analysis using cases because actual examples have not been obtained.
