본 연구의 목적은 국제경제사회의 구성국간 협조 및 조정이 각국 및 세계전체에 미치는 경제적 효과를 정량적으로 분석하여 국제경제협조의 최적 체계를 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 국제경제사회의 구성국으로 선진국과 개도국을 상정하여 양국간 경제협조와 조정 및 그것의 경제적 효과를 정량적으로 계측하기 위한 모형을 구축하였다. 분석 결과 선진국의 개도국에 대한 일정액(lump-sum) 형태의 이전이야말로 국제간 비협조적 행동을 억제하고 국제경제협조의 최적체계를 추구하는 조정 수단임을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 국제경제협조와 조정수단의 활용을 통하여 국제경제의 번영과 안정이 가능해질 것으로 사료되는 바, 선진국과 개도국간 국제간 양허에 관한 교섭을 하는 경우에 이전을 통한 조정을 병행 또는 선행적으로 고려하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 사료된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate an optimal system of international economic cooperation between the developed and developing country. For this, we build a model in which we explicitly analyze the economic effect of international economic cooperation in a setup of asymmetric (incomplete) information, and propose the optimal system of international economic cooperation. The results show that the developed country's lump-sum transfers to the developing country make international non-cooperative action restrained. Also we find that the lump-sum transfer is a means to pursue an optimal system of international economic cooperation. Therefore, the negotiation on concessions between the developed and developing country should include sophisticated coordination on the transfers.
