문답체를 통해 본 영조 글쓰기의 특징

Abstract

This research is for studying the characteristics of a writing style of Yeongjo specifically through a 'dialogue style' which is shown on Yeongjo Eojo . In this thesis, 'dialogue style' means a sort of writing that a questioner and an answerer show up in the beginning of it and make a process of question-and-answer dialogue. In this research, the formation of the 'dialogue style' is studied on a focuses of a method of resolution and an existence of the confrontation between questioner and answerer. First, the 'dialogue style' about a confrontation between Yeongjo and his retainers divides into two ways as conflicts are resolved through the way of persuasion or as the King relieves his rage unilaterally. Second, unlikely, the 'dialogue style' about a conflict within speaker's inside shows that problems are resolved only through the way of persuasion. And 'dialogue style' shows the methods of a persuasion, a relief of rage and a burlesque tools when the dialogue dealsboth of confrontation against external objects and internal mind, shows more than three dialogists and anthropomorphizes a lifeless thing as a speaker. Thus it proves that Yeongjo rejoiced to write as an author and he expresses his talent on writing with making good use of the 'dialogue style' frame. In addition, the percentage of political topics is not so low focusing on the 'dialogue style' not as the percentage is so low in terms of whole Yeongjo Eojo. This also proves that Yeongjoas an authorutilized the frame of the 'dialogue style' as an efficient skill of writing about political issues.
