조선후기 중국 문화를 援用한 영동지역 契會와 그 운영 양상

Abstract

Gye-gathering which still exists in various forms is unique culture of Korea. Also, in the rural community society of Gangwon during the Late Choson was managed in many forms as well. Of Gye-gathering in Gangwon Privince, Gangneung of yeonghogurogaphoe(瀛湖九老甲會) and Yangyang of giguhoe(耆舊會) were the gye gathering which quoted nakyanggiyounghoe(洛陽耆英會) and hyangsangurohoe(香山九老會) of China Yeonghogurogapho in the 1788 was organized by friends who grew up together in the same town. Gurohe limited to nine person and it is composed of 65 year old people the same age with a strong sense of the same kind. It was in line with the purposes of the donggapgye. So far, no significant research has been conducted in Gangwon Province on the Donggapgye, which was formed during the Joseon Dynasty. Yeongogurogaphoe offers not only a glimpse of the gye-gathering culture that uses Chinese culture, but also the only way to see the true nature of Donggapgye in Gangwon Province. The Yangyang Organization Association(Giguhoe) was formed in imitation of the Gigujeon(耆舊傳) of Yangyang(China). The name ‘Gigu’ was not only taken after the name ‘Gigu,’ but it was also modeled on the lifestyle and philosophy of the historical figures by using the Hyangsangurohoe and Nakyang Giyeonghoe. A group of influential Yangyang families, including Hampyeong Yi Clan, organized a gye-gathering, held regular meetings at Naksan-temple in November every year, and held a spring and fall meeting. After the formation of the organization, the members of the organization were strictly evaluated and joined as members of the members were appointed to the region according to the purpose of its establishment. The Giguhoe is a Gye-gathering of very special cases that have continued to date without breaking up. In addition, it is not just a social gathering and social gathering, but it also has the characteristics of a Gye organization that does social work such as mutual help and lending activities, so the purpose of establishment is the same as Yeonghoogurogaphoe, but the method of operation is very different.
