‘오직 은혜로’는 루터의 개혁에서 ‘오직 믿음으로’와 함께 중요한 신학적인 가르침이었다. 루터의 ‘오직 은혜로’는 은혜를 인간의 자질로 보는 중세 은혜관에 대한 비판이었다. 인간의 자질인은혜를 바탕으로 공로를 쌓아 구원받는 중세 구원론을 극복하고자 오직 은혜로 오직 믿음으로 구원받는 교리를 확립하였다. 루터는 ‘오직 은혜로’와 ‘오직 믿음으로’의 교리를 통해 구원의 확신을 얻었다. 루터의 오직 은혜는 그의 신앙적 체험을 통해 확립되어 그의 개혁활동과 목회활동의 토대가 되었다. 루터에게 있어서, 은혜는 하나님과의 인격적인 관계에서 주어지는 선물이었다. 칼빈은 오직 은혜를 삼위일체 하나님과의 인격적 관계에서 파악하였다. 그는 성부의 자비와 긍휼을 오직 은혜로 받는 구원의 유효적 원인으로 보았고, 그리스도의 능동적 순종과 수동적 순종을 구원의 질료적 원인으로 보았다. 성령의 역사를 통해 믿음으로 그리스도와 연합할 때 칭의와 성화의 이중적인 은혜가 주어진다고 하였다. 이와같이 오직 은혜는 삼위일체 하나님과의 인격적인 관계에서 베풀어진다. 루터의 ‘오직 은혜로’는 선행에 대한 근거가 명확하지 못하다는 비판을 받았는데, 칼빈은 칭의와 성화를하나님의 이중 은혜로 확립하여 칭의로 구원받은 사람이 성화의열매를 맺어간다는 것을 설득력있게 설명하였다. 오늘날 한국신학교육에서 ‘오직 은혜로’의 종교개혁의 가르침이 이론교육으로 끝나지 않으려면 은혜의 수단을 활용하여 체험적인 교육으로 연결되어야 하겠다. 말씀과 신학수업이 연계되고무릎의 기도로 실천될 때 하나님의 은혜의 복음을 체험하여 전파하는 사역자들을 육성할 수 있을 것이다. 이런 과정을 통해 개혁주의생명신학이 신학교육과 목회현장을 살려내고 부흥시키는 운동력이 되어야 하겠다.
Abstract
Sola Gratia was an important theological teaching along with Sola Fide in Luther's Reformation. Luther's Sola Gratia was a criticism of the medieval view of grace that regarded grace as a human quality. In order to overcome the medieval soteriology of salvation through merit based on grace, which is a human quality, the doctrine of salvation through sola fide and sola gratia was established. Luther came to have the assurance of salvation through the doctrine of sola fide and sola gratia. Luther's sola gratia was established through his religious experience and became the foundation of his reformation and pastoral activities. For Luther, grace was a gift given in a personal relationship with God. Calvin grasped sola gratia in the personal relationship with the triune God. He saw the Father's mercy and compassion as the effective cause of our grace's salvation. And he saw Christ's active and passive obedience as the material cause of our salvation. He said that the dual grace of justification and sanctification is given when we unite with Christ by faith through the work of the Holy Spirit. Likewise, sola gratia is bestowed in a personal relationship with the triune God. Luther was criticised because the basis for good works by sola gratia was not clear, but Calvin established justification and sanctification as God's double grace and convincingly established that those who are saved through justification bear the fruit of sanctification. Today, in Korean theological education, the teaching of the Reformation such as sola gratia should be connected to experiential education using the means of grace so that it does not end with theoretical education. When the Word and theology classes are connected and practiced through kneeling prayer, it will be possible to nurture ministers who experience and spread the gospel of God's grace. Through this process, Reformed life theology should become a driving force that revives theological education and the field of ministry.
