베트남 귀환이주자의 인적 자본과 취업의 상관성 연구: 한국 이주노동자를 중심으로

이 연구는 베트남 귀환이주자의 인적 자본과 취업과의 상관성을분석하는 것이다. 인적 자본은 인구사회학적 배경과 이주 경험으로구성되어 있으며, 취업은 임금노동자, 자영업자, 그리고 무직자로 구분하였다. 연구방법은 양적연구방법으로서 설문조사를 통해 자료를수집하였다. 조사대상자는 고용허가제 또는 이에 상응하는 비자로한국에 입국하여 노동경험을 마치고 베트남인 모국으로 귀환한 이주자 215명이다. 이를 통해, 베트남 귀환이주자의 인적 자본이 취업에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별과 결혼이 취업에영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 살펴보면, 남성일 경우,그리고 기혼자일 경우 무직자가 아닌 임금노동자일 가능성이 더 높다. 둘째, 한국에서 거주할 당시 교육에 더 많이 참여한 이주자일수록 귀환 후 임금노동자일 가능성이 더 높다. 셋째, 자영업자와 무직자 간의 차이에 있어서는 인적 자본이 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 자영업자 경우, 인적 자본 보다 재정적 자본이나 다른 기타 원인에 의해 더 영향을 받을 개연성으로 설명되어 진다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 이주자들이 귀환 후에도 인적 자본을 최대한 활용하여 모국사회에서 경제적 활동을 할 수 있도록 안정적인 취업기반이 마련될 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the correlation between humancapital and labor status of returning Vietnamese migrants. Human capitalconsists of social demographic characteristics and experiences of labormigration. Labor status is divided into wage earner, self-employed andunemployed. The survey was conducted on 215 people of returningVietnamese migrants and the database was analysed logistic regressionanalysis. The findings of this study is as follows. Firstly, gender and maritalstatus affect the labor status. If the returning Vietnamese migrants aremale and married person, they would be possible of wage earner notunemployed. Secondly, the more people who participated in educationprogram when they stayed in Korea, the more people are working as awage earner in Vietnam. Thirdly, the human capital did not affect the laborstatus between self-employed and unemployed. For self-employed, it canbe inferred that financial capital or other factors influence self-employed more. According to the results, it is necessary to develop occupationalbasis using migrants' human capital upon return.
