영상 매체와 팀 기반 학습(TBL)을 활용한 한국 문학 교육 사례 연구 -애니메이션 ｢소나기｣를 활용한 수업 모형을 중심으로-

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Team-Based Learning (TBL) model using animation to enhance foreign learnersˊ comprehension of Korean literature. It also examines the educational effectiveness of this model. Hwang Sun-wonˊs short story 『Sonagi』 and its animated version were selected as instructional materials. Based on a preliminary needs analysis that identified difficulties in vocabulary and cultural understanding, the readiness assurance process was reinforced, and a TBL-based literature instruction model emphasizing team discussion and presentations was designed. The instructional process comprised four stages: (1) pre-class preparation, (2) activation of prior knowledge, vocabulary instruction, and comprehension checks, (3) team-based discussion and presentations after viewing the animation, and (4) peer evaluation. A learner survey conducted after the class indicated that the TBL model effectively enhanced literary comprehension and learner engagement. The study is significant in that it provides concrete procedures and activities that classroom teachers can readily apply, thereby enhancing practical value in educational settings. It also demonstrates the potential for flexibly modifying TBL to accommodate learner characteristics. These findings offer methodological insights for future research aimed at integrating diverse teaching methods into literature education and are expected to contribute positively to improving instructional design and increasing learner engagement in Korean literature classrooms.
