연구는 비원어민 한국어 교사 연구의 흐름을 체계적으로 정리하고, 향후 연구 방향을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2008년부터 2025년 6월까지 발표된 관련 학술 논문 109편을 연구 연도 및 유형, 주제, 방법, 대상을 기준으로분석하였다. 분석 결과, 비원어민 한국어 교사 연구는 꾸준히 증가해 왔으며, 연구 주제는 교사 요인(45%), 교사전문성(27.5%), 교사 교육(19.3%)에 집중되어 있었다. 연구 방법은 조사 연구가 절반 가까이(46.8%)를 차지하였으며, 사례 연구(8.3%)나 내러티브 탐구(6.4%) 등 질적 접근은 상대적으로 적게 이루어졌다. 연구 대상은 중국, 태국, 베트남의국외 고등교육기관 소속의 경력 교사에 집중되는 양상을 보였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 비원어민한국어 교사에 대한 연구 주제가 전반적으로 심화되고 확대될 필요가 있으며, 연구 방법의 다양화가 필요함을 논의하였다. 또한 연구 대상은 지역성과 특수성을 고려한 균형 잡힌 접근이 필요하며, 국내외 연구 기관의 특성에 따라 다각화되고구체화되어야 함을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 기존 논문들을 종합적으로 검토함으로써 비원어민 한국어 교사 연구의현황을 구체적으로 제시하고, 향후 연구 방향을 가늠할 수 있는 기초를 마련했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to systematically research trends on non-native Korean language teachers and explore future research directions. A total of 109 academic papers published between 2008 and June 2025 were examined in terms of . The analysis revealed that research on non-native Korean language teachers has steadily increased, with main topics focusing on teacher-related factors (45%), teacher professionalism (27.5%), and teacher education (19.3%). In terms of methodology, survey research accounted for nearly half (46.8%), while qualitative approaches such as case studies (8.3%) and narrative inquiry (6.4%) remained relatively limited. Research participants were primarily experienced teachers affiliated with higher education institutions in countries such as China, Thailand, and Vietnam.
