폴 리쾨르 철학에서 전통과 혁신의 변증법과 그 적용 가능성

이 논문에서 필자는 폴 리쾨르 철학에서 전통과 혁신의 변증법을 찾아내어, 그만의 독창적 역사관 관점을 부각하였다. 이 과정에서 리쾨르의 역사관과 헤겔의 역사관과의 차이점을 밝혔고, 리쾨르 역사관에 이바지한 가다머와 코젤렉의 사상을 탐구하였다. 전통과 혁신의 문제를 분석하고 이해하여 리쾨르 철학의 독특한 변증법적 방법론을 필자의 시각에서 자기화하였다. 혁신은 전통이 필요하다. 과거의 경험들이나 문화적 유산들 없이 새로운 것을 모색할 수 없다. 인류가 전통을 통해 획득한 다양한 경험과 문화유산에 뿌리를 두지 않고 미래를 향해 줄기를 뻗으려는 것은 마치 사상누각을 쌓으려는 것과 같다. 전통과 혁신은 서로 조응한다는 사실이 밝혀졌고, 두 개념을 구분해서 서로 별개의 주제로 다루지 않고 두 개념 사이의 긴장 관계, 즉 변증법적 관계로 봐야 하는 이유 역시 드러났다.
Abstract
In this article, I found the dialectic of tradition and innovation in Paul Ricoeur's philosophy and emphasized his original view of history. Accordingly, I clarified the difference between Ricoeur's and Hegel's view of history and explored the ideas of Gadamer and Kozelec that contributed to Ricoeur's view of history. By analyzing and understanding the issues of tradition and innovation from a new perspective, the unique dialectical methodology of Ricoeur's philosophy was self-contained from my point of view. Innovation requires tradition. New things cannot be sought without past experiences and cultural heritage. This situation is similar to building a pavilion of ideas to expand a branch toward the future. This process is achieved without being rooted in the various experiences and cultural heritage that humankind has acquired through tradition. Tradition and innovation correspond to each other. The reason why the two concepts should be viewed as closely related topics (i.e., they have a dialectical relationship), rather than separate topics, was also revealed.
