조선족의 국경 간 이동과 초국적 실천에 관한 연구: 중국 연길 음식거리를 사례로

본 연구는 조선족 이주자들의 초국적 이동을 통해 그들이 기원지인 연길시에서 어떻게 역동적인 민족경관을 만들어 가는지를 음식거리를 사례로 분석하고 있다. 이주자들의 초국적 연결 및 이동, 실천은 물리적으로 분리되어 있는 공간들을 다양한 방법으로 연결시키고 있다. 조선족 이주 사업가들은 이러한 초국적 이주를 통해 기원지와서울, 도쿄와 같은 세계도시를 연결하며 일상생활에서의 교류를 촉진하고 있다. 특히, 중국 연길시의 음식거리에서나타나는 경관은 그들의 이주 경로, 트랜스로컬리티, 그들의 행위주체성을 잘 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 기존의 기원지-정착지 간의 관계를 이주자-비이주자의 연계로 보는 한계를 넘어서서 이주자-비이주자-회귀이주자 등 연결되는초국적 행위자들의 일상생활의 실천을 통해 조선족 글로벌이주의 새로운 측면을 밝히고자 하였다.
Abstract
This study analyses how Korean Chinese migrants develop their dynamic ethnic landscape through their transmigration by investigating a food street in Yanbian which is their origin. The transnational connection, movement and practice of migrants link spaces which are separate from each other physically in various ways. Through the transnational migration, Korean Chinese migrant entrepreneurs have encouraged interactions in everyday life by connecting between their origin and foreign global cities such as Seoul and Tokyo. In particular, the landscape in a food street in Yanbian shows their migration routes, translocality and agencies. Therefore, this research intends to reveal a new aspect of the global migration of Korean Chinese through the practice of everyday life of transnational actors including migrants, non-migrants and returnees beyond the limits of perspective that consider the relationship between their origin and destination as a link between migrants and non-migrants.
